Baleful Polymorph: Rukia may like cute toys, but being turned into a plushie isn't something she enjoys. As such while she is small and cute, her competence level is that of a high-ranked officer, and she's eventually permitted to take over as lieutenant of her squad and is ultimately promoted to the rank of Captain. Badass Adorable: Rukia has the appearance of a young girl, but she claims to be a century and a half old and has spent that time fighting for survival and training as a soldier.Babies Ever After: The epilogue takes place ten years in the future, and depicts Rukia and Renji as married with a daughter. As a result, the only time she used it in the manga resulted in her being forced to be protected by Byakuya until she was safe. If she tries to move after using it, her body can break, forcing her to remain still and dethaw for her own safety. Unfortunately, her Bankai is limited by a major weakness: she has to dethaw her body after using it. The one time she has used it showed her easily killing Äs Nödt with it, even when her Shikai failed to stop said antagonists Vollständig. Awesome, but Impractical: Her Bankai, Hakka no Togame, is very powerful, and amounts to a Fantastic Nuke, but with ice so cold that the person hit by it is essentially wiped away by it.Art Shift: Whenever Rukia tries to explain things using poorly-drawn bunnies and other animals. After the timeskip, she is Squad 13s new Lieutenant as a sign of where she truly ranks in her squad. Justified as Byakuya pulled some strings to help ensure she didn't get ranked as one out of his desire to protect her. Almighty Janitor: Despite being The Heroine, and an overall skilled fighter, Rukia is, for roughly three quarters of the series, a rank and file Soul Reaper who didn't even qualify for a seated officer position. This did not translate on her automatically leaving everything to Ichigo, as she insisted on guiding him and doing her best to help him fight and defend herself. Action Survivor: At the beginning of the story, as a consequence of transferring her power to Ichigo, Rukia found herself borderline depowered.Action Mom: Rukia is still very much an active Soul Reaper and captain of Squad 13 even while being the mother of Ichika.Action Girl: She's an effective hand-to-hand fighter and kido user, as well as highly self-reliant, even without her Soul Reaper powers.Rukia plays a special role in the third Bleach movie, Bleach Fade To Black, in which she is rendered amnesic by the antagonists and gains a Hollowfied form called Dark Rukia. Her Bankai, Hakka no Togame, turns her to solid ice and unleashes a powerful, blinding white explosion that instantly freezes everything within the blast radius. It lowers the temperature of her body at will, even to absolute zero, allowing her to freeze everything she touches or fight with waves and pillars of ice. Her snow-white zanpakuto, Sode no Shirayuki, is the most beautiful in the whole of Soul Society. Far too talented for her low military rank, she's eventually promoted to 13th Division lieutenant. Sarcastic, aggressive, and convinced of her own artistic merit, Rukia is proficient at kidou and a powerful fighter. She forces him to act as a Soul Reaper in her stead until she is hauled back to Soul Society for illegally empowering Ichigo. Upon losing the fight with the Hollow, she transfers her power to Ichigo to save his family. Rukia's encounter with Ichigo in his bedroom while Hollow-hunting is the trigger for the story. Played by: Miki Sato (Rock Musical Bleach), Hana Sugisaku (live-action movie)
